Basic Advice for Baldur's Gate 3's Shadowheart Romance
Making choices that benefit the character is necessary for the single development in Baldur's Gate 3 that leads to romance with Shadowheart. Therefore, make sure to make wise choices—whether at camp or on the pitch.
Shadowheart prefers that you aid individuals with their troubles or lend a hand when they are in need. As a result, make sure you always make these choices. Another thing to keep in mind is that Shadowheart and Lae'zel do not agree, and thus choosing to side with Lae'zel will make you less popular with Shadowheart. This means that you cannot romance both companions during the same run if your choices favour her over Lae'zel.
How to Win the Heart of Shadowheart at the Baldur's Gate 3 Camp
You must successfully finish the mission to save the Druid Halsin in order to romance Shadowheart. In this task, the Druid Grove doctor asks you to find Halsin at the Goblin camp and make sure he's still alive. Make sure you've also finished the side missions involving rescuing migrants.
After finishing these two jobs, take a long break before heading back to camp. When you arrive, you'll see that everyone is congratulating you on a job well done. Start a chat with Shadowheart by going up to Baldur's Gate 3. Order the following selections:
- Tieflings?
- Do you fear Shar won't like it?
- Say "I'd be glad to" when she asks whether you'd want to share a drink with her.
- Then, in response, say, "I'll find you after everyone has gone to bed for the evening."
When the cutscene is through, retire for a nap. In Baldur's Gate 3, the game prompts you to choose whether you wish to sleep alone or with Shadowheart. Choose Shadowheart to start a new cutscene. Make wise decisions that seem like they would appeal to Shadowheart in this situation. We'll leave it up to you to chose, but try to avoid selecting anything that might prevent you from finding love (we don't want to ruin the experience for you). They're fairly clear. If you play your cards well, you'll be able to spend a romantic evening with Shadowheart.
Larian has verified that the romance-focused portions of the games are far more in-depth and extensive with the formal launch. So, once you unlock all of the friends and make the appropriate decisions, be prepared to see unexpected events.
